Hint: Wrenches to access hidden cars:
Information in this section was contributed by Dan and Sir-Kermit.

Chicken truck
Located in a chicken hut on the "Fowl Play" track.

Sprint car
Located in the last shortcut on the 'Dog Tired' level. Turn left at the track.

Jet car
Located on Bad Lands - Stoney Creek. On the last turn of the track hit the jump going left. You should land on a shortcut. Turn around and return towards the end of the short cut. The wrench will appear in front of you.

EA Sports car
Successfully complete the EA Tournament in rookie mode to unlock the EA Sports car in rookie mode. Successfully complete the game in pro or elite mode to unlock the EA Sports car in those modes.

Golf cart
Located in Big Easy - Mardi Gras. In the middle of the track, take a shortcut right through a house. Go to the last room and turn right at the bookshelf. Break the wall to find the wrench.

Hotrod
On Metropolis - Night Flight, go up the blocked off ramp just before you get to the building where you normally jump across to break the glass. Stop and fall down, go to the left, and you will unlock the Hotrod.

Tow Truck
Play the Metropolis - Ship Shape track in single race mode. Go behind the starting line until you see a road off to the right (going backwards). There will be a wrench there that unlocks the Tow Truck.

Road Captain
On Southern Exposure - Hog Hollow, go to the gas station towards the end with the barn next to it. Ram the barn doors to find the wrench that unlocks the Road Captain.

Loader
On Gold Rush - Golden Rule, after starting your race go either the top or bottom route when the track splits. Turn around after coming out of the caves and you will see two caves on the lower track. Go into the cave on the right and you will unlock the Loader car .

Hint: Go faster on corners:
Drive across the grass or gravel which is inside the bend. For example, start driving down the outside in a straight. When you see the bend, move over to the inside and go over the grass with the front and rear left wheels (if it is a left corner) -- if it is a right turn, then it would be the front and rear right wheels. Come out of the corner and you will hear the revs get higher (to 8000 or 9000 rpm). In the Metropolis level, there is no grass or gravel on the inside. Instead, drive down the inside and when you reach a bend gently tap the brakes so the car slides to the outside. Straighten the car out and skim the barrier for about two seconds. Then, make your way to the inside and the revs will increase to the maximum. When sliding into barrier, do not go head first or your car will down. This variation for Metropolis also works on levels which have a lot of tarmac. On the Golden Rule level, when you see a gap which separates two barriers in the middle of the track, go through it. You will immediately have a barrier in your sight. Tap the brakes gently to slide the car toward the barrier. Straighten the car up to skim the barrier. Do this every time you reach a gap and the revs will pick up. The car may not appear to be going faster, but it will take a few seconds off each lap.

Hint: Second Place Spinout Challenge:
For the Second Place Spinout Challenge in the Thunder Cards part load up with "Bowling Ball" cheats. As the game starts, immediately pull a 180 and go backwards. As you head into turn four going the wrong way, enable a Bowling Ball, then charge hard for the pack. You will usually wipe out the entire field within one or two laps. Make sure you leave just one car on the track, because you have to finish second. If you can get rid enough cars within two laps, turn around and drive in the correct direction to make up the lost laps until you are in second place. When it is time to finish, just slow down, pull a 180, then press Triangle to back up across the finish line.
Information in this section was contributed by Reckless.

When the race begins, keep going in the correct direction, enable the "Bowling Ball" cheat, and knock out every single car with the exception of two cars. Therefore, you must finish second and the third place car can and will help you. When coming to the line on the last lap, have the third place car spin you out by bumping you from behind (you must keep turning the car to pull a 180; if you keep it straight, you will instead pull a 360). If done correctly, you will pull a 180 and win the challenge. Note: Be careful; if you are backing up too slow, the third place car will pass you.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

When coming to the finish line allow the third place car spin you out. Note: Be careful though. If you pull a 360 you will fail the challenge, even if you finish in second place.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

Crash into a wall and pull a 180. However you must be at high speed. If you are at low speed you will just sit there after crashing.

Hint: Unlimited nitrous:
Stay in one spot on Mayhem power -ups and keep shooting everything off until your nitrous bar goes away and the nitrous sign is still there. Do the same for the Hammer and everything else except Tornado and those items.
Information in this section was contributed by william stanley.

Hint: Easy spin-outs:
When behind another car, if you are touching its back bumper turn your car left or right. Your car's front bumper will scrape the other car's back bumper. The car that was in front of you will spin out. Note: This will work with any car at any track.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

Hint: Avoid getting hit by bad power-ups:
If a Twister, Freeze or Storm is launched and you do not want to get hit, press Triangle to reset your vehicle. Note: If you have the Invincible power-up, do not do this.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

If you see a Twister, Freeze or Storm coming your way, get your speed below 60 mph and it may pass you by.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

Try hiding in a shortcut. However if the power-up was launched at that short cut, you will be out of luck.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

If you have the Invincible power-up, wait until a bad power up has launched. Once it gets near, use the Invincible power-up and the bad power-up will go by.

Glitch: Kenny Wallace:
In the game's commercial, Kenny Wallace is seen driving the #81 Square D Ford, which he drove in the 1998 NASCAR Cup season. However, the game is based upon the 1999 season and instead Wallace appears in the #55 Square D Chevrolet.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

Glitch: Duplicate cars:
Note: You must choose your opponents to do this trick. Select a driver (for example, #3 - Dale Earnhardt). When it is time to choose your opponents, keep selecting Dale Earnhardt again until it is time to select a track. Choose to race and after the loading screen disappears, you will see that all black #3 GM Goodwrench cars will be racing with your car.
Information in this section was contributed by Mark Oliveras.

Glitch: Blank hood:
On Terry Labonte's hood, in the Rookie class vehicles, the hood reads "Kellogg's Corn Flakes" with the Corn Flakes character. However when you switch to the Elite class vehicles, the hood will be plain white due to the engine being on top of the hood.
